Rio de Janeiro: Design, Culture, and New Ways of Living
From residential developments to exhibitions and cultural initiatives, Rio de Janeiro is experiencing a moment shaped by the convergence of diverse creative fields and a renewed appreciation for the city’s local identity.
Among the initiatives shaping this movement is ORO Ilha Pura by Ornare, a residential development born from the collaboration between Ornare, Ilha Pura, and BTG Pactual. The project further establishes the brand’s presence in the branded residences segment, bringing the Ornare experience into both the private residences and shared spaces. It translates the brand’s vision of design, customization, and excellence into a residential concept defined by exclusivity, comfort, and uncompromising quality.
The project brings together acclaimed professionals from the worlds of architecture, design, and landscape architecture. The common areas are designed by Celso Rayol, of Cité Arquitetura; the sustainable landscaping is conceived by Embyá, under the direction of Duarte Vaz; and the decorated apartments are designed by Rodrigo Jorge, Maurício Nóbrega, and Todos Arquitetura.
This integration of developers, architects, and specialized brands reflects an internationally established trend: residences conceived not simply as places to live, but as fully curated living experiences.
CASACOR RJ: The Home Through Different Perspectives
Continuing a dialogue built with the city and with leading names in architecture and design, Ornare will once again take part in CASACOR Rio in 2026.
Over the years, this relationship has taken shape through spaces that offer distinct interpretations of the home.
In the 2024 edition, Ornare’s solutions explored themes of well-being, memory, art, and identity across spaces designed by Rodrigo Barbosa, Izabela Lessa, and Fernanda Zanetta.
The “Reconto Bar” space, designed by Cité Arquitetura, brought together art, memory, and a sense of connection during the 2025 exhibition, creating an inviting setting dedicated to gathering and shared experiences.
This collaboration with Rio de Janeiro’s leading professionals has also gained national recognition. At CASACOR SP 2025, the Loft Alvorá, designed by Paula Neder with Ornare solutions, was named by Veja São Paulo as the best project in the Loft or Studio category.
In 2026, Ornare returns to CASACOR Rio, continuing this journey while further deepening its connection with the city’s vibrant creative scene.
CUCINA: Design and Gastronomy
At CUCINA, the Italian Enogastronomic School inaugurated at Polo Cultural ItaliaNoRio, design, gastronomy, and education come together within a shared space. Designed by Igor Raupp and Raquel Carneiro, winners of the competition organized by IED, the project features a kitchen developed by Ornare to host courses, gatherings, and immersive
A New Chapter in Rio de Janeiro’s Creative Scene
The Ornare showroom in Barra da Tijuca is now led by Daniella Chaves, an architect and urban planner whose journey with the brand dates back to 2006. Her leadership further consolidates Ornare’s presence in Rio de Janeiro, where the brand has been part of the city’s design landscape for more than two decades.
Bringing together Ornare’s collections, the space reinforces its role as a meeting point for architects, designers, and clients looking to develop new projects.
